Working at Crane
At Crane we believe that attracting and developing top talent is the best assurance for continuing the success of our business. We have career opportunities in many different disciplines at our business locations across the globe and seek people who strive to be the best at what they do.
Crane is a great place to work. The ethical standards that have been the hallmark of our Company throughout its history to the present day are rock solid and uniform wherever Crane businesses are operating.
Crane Co. was founded in 1855 by Richard Teller Crane who resolved at that time “to conduct my business in the strictest honesty and fairness, to avoid all deception and trickery, to deal fairly with customers and competitors, to be liberal and just toward employees, and to put my whole mind upon the business.” This remains the foundation of Crane’s business policy as we work every day to strengthen our high-performance culture based on trust and respect.
We are a technology leader in our markets – a position we worked hard to establish and maintain. This requires a team capable of true innovation and breakthrough thinking in the products and services we develop and the processes by which we deliver them. We seek creative people who can thrive with the discipline of a world class business system.
We are 12,000 associates working together for profitable growth of our customers, our associates and our shareholders. Our career development starts with meaningful co-opt intern assignments with the opportunity to convert to a full-time hire. With operations in 120 locations across 25 countries, Crane offers exciting opportunities to pursue career paths that are diverse, challenging and rewarding. In fact, 70% of our job vacancies are filled with internal candidates. Our environment promotes continuous learning with extensive and ongoing training customized for each associate based on a continuous individual development plan.
At Crane Co. our rewards package extends far beyond an associate’s base compensation. We seek to reward, and reinforce success with a compelling package of both cash and non-cash benefits, as well as the assurance of working in an environment where your safety and wellbeing are our key priorities. In most countries our businesses offer comprehensive health benefits, wellness incentives and assistance with retirement savings.
We will proactively support your ongoing career development which will give you every opportunity to continually grow the overall rewards you will receive to match your achievements.
We seek a workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate and one that is as diverse as our businesses. We are committed to leadership diversity and inclusion at all levels of the organization. We believe that diversity in our workforce better equips us to drive innovation to address the complex challenges that our business and associates thrive on.
Crane has a rich history and legacy of 100 years of charitable giving. In 1914, upon the passing of our founder, the Crane family established charitable funds through the donation of $1 million in company stock which continue to provide funding to the underserved in our local communities and former associates in need. We are proud of the important work being done each day by the Crane Funds - our company's largest shareholder & beneficiary of profitable growth. We take pride in knowing that when Crane is successful, the Crane Charitable Funds and those they support directly benefit as well.
