Mr. Mitchell was appointed Executive Chair of Crane Company in April 2026. Prior to assuming this role, he served as Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Crane Company, a leading supplier of highly engineered components for demanding, mission-critical applications serving the aerospace, defense, space, and process industry end markets, until his retirement in April 2026. He was named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2014 and was appointed Chairman of the Board in April 2024.

During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Mitchell led a comprehensive transformation of Crane’s portfolio. He increased internal investment focused on nextgeneration technologies and new product development in highergrowth markets, completed more than $2 billion in acquisitions, and executed multiple divestitures. These actions culminated in the successful 2023 separation of the company into two focused, highreturn publicly traded companies—Crane Company and Crane NXT, Co.—and resulted in more than $10 billion of shareholder equity value creation.

Mr. Mitchell joined Crane in 2004 and has held a number of senior leadership roles, including President of the Process Flow Technologies Group, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the enterprise, and President and Chief Operating Officer. Among his key accomplishments was the implementation of the Crane Business System, a holistic operating approach and performancedriven culture that has delivered a long track record of consistent execution, operational efficiency, and profitable growth across the company.

Before joining Crane, Mr. Mitchell held various senior operating roles at Danaher Corporation and Pentair. He began his career at Ford Motor Company, where he worked in finance and operations roles.

A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Mitchell holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University.

Mr. Mitchell currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and the Board of Trustees of the Manufacturers Alliance. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Crane NXT, Co. from 2014 to 2024, Lennox International from 2016 to 2022, and on the Board of the Valve Manufacturers Association of America.
