Business Director

“The Crane culture of cross functional engagement, transparency, and continuous improvement has been critical to my success and growth with the company. I have been able to move between business units, functions, and roles that would be fully isolated in many other organizations.”

Ryan started his career with Crane Merchandising Systems as an Operational Excellence Engineer. In this role Ryan supported the consolidation of the group’s operations and drove the deployment of lean manufacturing cells using the CBS tools and supply chain improvements to enable smooth production flow. He then accepted an opportunity to as a Supply Chain Analyst in the Crane Aerospace and Electronics Group. Ryan led the procurement of electronic components for the site’s world class circuit card assembly manufacturing operation. This role provided deep engagement with Engineering and Operations and when the position of New Product Introduction Operations Manager was created, Ryan was a natural fit for the role. This work expanded to include site wide processes and existing product operations in 2012 when Ryan became the Crane Business System Manager.

Ryan then transitioned to the role of Value Stream Manager for the Proximity Sensing and Fuel Flow Transmitter product lines, responsible for over $90 million in operations and a team of more than 100 associates. Most recently in 2017, Ryan became the Director of Business for Precision Transducer Products and is responsible for driving continued growth in this critical product line of components for aircraft engines.
